  • Millennium Bridge
  • Parliament/Big Ben/Westminster Abbey
  • Buckingham Palace (Changing of the Guard)
  • St. James Park
  • Piccadilly Square
  • Matinee Show – “Blood Brothers”  Excellent Performance

After a good night’s sleep we feel almost human again. We wake up really early and prepare for a full day’s worth of sightseeing.

We’ll use London’s underground system to get to all our destinations. We start for St. Paul’s Cathedral and just across the street was the Millennium Bridge.
Next we catch the Metro to Westminster Abbey, then walk over to the Parliament and Big Ben.  Lastly, we walk over to Buckingham Palace to see the changing of the guards.  While we were waiting, we chatted for a long while with a female officer who was working on traffic control.  She was very pleasant and actually advised us to stand where she was at (on the side of the palace) because this is where the guards will march right by.  London is a great City and I found all the people to be very friendly and willing to help with directions.
It’s so nice to see and re-visit these sights.  I’m trying to take pictures as a kind of walking diary of this trip.  This will be my biggest souvenir.  Not the 50 T-shirts, Magnets, and pins that I purchased on my first trip.  They are all neatly tucked away somewhere in storage.  These pictures will be framed, they will become screen savers on my computers at home and work and they will forever be visible as a constant reminder to myself and others around me of this great, grand adventure!

Running, cycling and hiking gives me that rush! Music energizes and soothes my soul! Photography preserves my memories and tells my stories! Art provides beauty and fuels my imagination! History gives me knowledge, a deeper understanding for the present and hope for the future! Family & Friends warms my heart! And Travel . . . well Travel keeps me HAPPY!
